B.Sc., Memorial University of Newfoundland
Supervisor: Dr. Duncan McIlroy
M.Sc. Title: A Three Dimensional Reconstruction of Zoophycos and its Biogeochemical Implications. For her undergraduate honours thesis Katie worked on a structural interpretation of the Latakia Ridge system in the east Mediterranean under the supervision of Dr. Tom Calon.
Now, Katie is working on a 3D reconstruction and detailed biogeochemical study of the trace Zoophycos, in an effort to better understand the palaeobiological and biogeochemical implications of the 3D morphology of this enigmatic trace fossil. This summer Katie will take a leave of absence to complete a work term in St. John’s with Statoil.
